Our Story At VIPA Hospitality Management

VIPA Hospitality Management is the fulfillment of a dream by Dr.Vijay Patel.

The founder of our group Dr.Vijay Patel was a great visionary who deeply nurtured the dream of making an hotel investment in the US, In 1980 his dream became a reality when the Fern Park Motel was acquired with 18 rooms in Orlando,FL. But he still wanted to construct a hotel of his own.This was realized in 1989 when the group built our first hotel Super 8 at Rockford IL.Dr.Patels 's sharp business acumen and focussed attention in running the hotels caused the acquisition of Hotsprings National Park,Arkansas in 1996. It was in this year our current foundation was laid. This was followed with the acquisitions of the Hampton Inn in 1997.

In 1999 Econo Lodge along with 5 acre land,where the Holiday Inn Express was opened in 2002 and Country Inn & Suites in 2005. Thereafter it was a successful journey for him in opening a chain of hotels.

By 2002 we had 20 hotels in the Chicagoland area under the reputed brands like Holiday Inn Express,Comfort Suites,Sleep Inn,Super 8 and Best Western. Our group opened the Bennigan's Grill and Tavern ( now Bleu Monkey Grill). Eventually Days Inn was acquired in 2007 ( now Motel 6) and a renovated Red Roof Inn by spending $ 1 million after acquisition was opened.

In 2011 La Quinta Inn was opened after spending $ 1.2 million for renovation and a brand new 2 home Suites by Hilton was opened in 2018.
